- As a decorative overlay on bituminous membranes and over existing terrazzo tiles.
Advantages of Elastomeric Water-Based Coating
- Flexible elastomeric product.
- Easy to use single component.
- Weather-resistant.
- It can be applied over sloped roofs.
- Easy to maintain.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
All surfaces should be dry and free from contamination, such as oil, grease, loose particles, decayed matter, moss algal growth, laitance, and all traces of mold release oils and curing compounds. This is best achieved by lightly grit-blasting the surface. Where moss, algae, or similar growths have occurred, treatment with a proprietary biocide should be carried out after the grit-blasting process. Spalled and deeply disintegrated concrete should be removed to sound concrete and repaired with a Saveto repair system.
Concrete substrates should be at least 14 days old; bituminous substrates should be at least 12 months old before overcoating with Vetoproof AM763.
- Vetoproof AM763 should not be applied at ambient temperatures below 5°C and dropping.
- Vetoproof AM763 should not be applied on surfaces expected to suffer from rising dampness or relative humidity greater than 75%.
- Being Styrene Acrylic, Vetoproof AM763 may yellow over time from UV rays, but the membrane’s integrity and function are not compromised.
- If any doubts arise concerning application or substrate conditions, consult the Saveto office.
HOW TO USE
Application
Apply Vetoproof AM763 with a brush, roll, or airless spray machine. Prime Porous cementitious surfaces with Vetoprime AP443. Apply the first coat of Vetoproof AM763 at the 1.5 – 2.0 m²/kg/coat rate and allow it to cure for 4 – 12 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
Apply the second coat perpendicular to the first coat at the same rate above and allow it to cure.
It is recommended for heavy pedestrian traffic to use fiberglass scrim reinforcement, embedded firmly in the second coat while wet, and a third coat should be applied.
Cleaning
Remove Vetoproof AM763 product from tools, equipment, and mixers with clean water before the initial set. Cured material can only be removed mechanically.
