Surface Preparation

The surface should be sound, clean, and free from loose
material, oil, grease, laitance, dirt, curing compound, etc.
Dry and absorbent surfaces must be moistened.
Ensure that the surface is solid and strong for tiling –
especially when the tiles are very large.

Mixing

Into a container, pour 6–6.8 liters of water for each 20KG
Porcelain Plus bag. Add the powder to the water and
mix using a low-speed electric drill fitted with a suitable
paddle until achieving a uniform, lump-free consistency;
leave the mixed material to stand for about 10 minutes
maturing time and remix briefly without adding further
water before use.
Porcelain Plus can be manually mixed as long as the
correct amount of powder to water is added.
Use the mixed material within 3 hours.

Application

Apply the adhesive to the surface and the backside of the
porcelain tile slab by pressing firmly, then comb with a
suitable notched trowel. The area on the surface ensures
it can be tiled within 15 minutes. Press the slab tiles firmly
onto the surface and tap into position immediately. The
slab tile’s position can be adjusted for 15 minutes without
losing adhesion. It is recommended to randomly lift tiles
during the application to ensure sufficient coverage of
tile backs (at least 80%). For outdoor areas tiling, the
coverage of tile backs must be at least 90 % to ensure
that you get adequate adhesive coverage under the tiles.
The trowel should be chosen according to the tile size
and the tiling surface.
Allow the installed tiles to remain undisturbed for at least
24 hours. Porcelain Plus must not rise between the tile
joints higher than half to two third of the thickness of the
porcelain slab tiles. It is recommended to use Vetonit Tile
Grout to fill the joint gaps after 2 days from tile installation.

Cleaning

Clean tools and equipment with water immediately
after use. Hardened materials will require removal by
mechanical means.

Packaging & Coverage

Stated consumption data are for general guidance. Actual
consumption depends on the nature of the substrate,
method of application, and wastages.

Shelf Life & Storage

The original sealed bag of Porcelain Plus has a shelf life
of 12 months, provided it is stored clear of ground in a
dry, shaded place below 35oC.

Note

  • Low temperature and high air humidity will retard
the curing and drying process and vis versa.
  • The best coverage is when it applied on flat surfaces
